A stone’s throw from Poniente beach, La Falua in Benidorm offers its guests a warm and cosy atmosphere in a gorgeous interior combined with delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
The restaurant La Falúa opened in 2007, just a few metres from the Poniente beach, and has positioned itself at the forefront of gastronomy at Costa Blanca. It’s elegantly decorated in white and pastel tones, achieving a modern yet classic look. It serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine in a warm and cosy atmosphere,d, which will make diners feel exciting sensations and flavours.
The restaurant La Falúa also has a very elegant bar with pleasant music where you can end the evening and relax, although you can also choose to take a stroll by the sea, given its proximity to the beach.
Found on Calle Santander, owner Jose is constantly striving to vamp up the menu and offer the Benidorm residents a luxurious dining experience in a laid-back atmosphere. The locals have compared the restaurant to a tranquil oasis, which offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of typical Beniform life.
Located at the quiet end of the Old Town, the main restaurant and terrace is below street level, and accessible by steps, and the café bar and terrace, which is accessible from the restaurant and the street, giving great views across the town and the beach.
Must-Try Dishes
Among its star dishes are the Chateaubriand sirloin steak, the Falúa-style monkfish with saffron sauce and the grilled foie gras with a port reduction. Also worthy of special mention are the rice dishes, such as rice with pumpkin and whiting, and rice with monkfish and clams. Its wine list is also excellent, as it has the best wines in the country as well as wines from Levante.
As for desserts, our favourite so far has been its creamy and indulgent tiramisu.
